The challenge

Bring connected measurement hardware and several occupational health assessments into a clear self-service flow, with questionnaires that could be configured outside the device.

The work

This project involved creating a native Android application for a self-serve occupational health device used by staff to complete guided assessments, alongside a web-based questionnaire editor for configuring the wider workflow. The app connected to measurement hardware over Bluetooth and supported workflows for blood pressure, lung function and HAVS, turning multiple clinical-style checks into a structured self-service product experience.

My contribution

Worked with the founder and CTO to define scope and roadmap, then led and built the native Android experience, Bluetooth integrations and web questionnaire tooling.

Delivery detail

• Built a native Android application designed for use alongside connected occupational health measurement devices.
• Integrated Bluetooth-connected hardware so readings could be captured directly within the guided assessment flow.
• Supported multiple test types including blood pressure, lung function and HAVS, with clear user instructions and result handling.
• Also built web-based questionnaire editing and pathway tooling so assessment flows could be configured and maintained outside the device app.

The outcome
