The challenge
Modernise a customer-facing mobile app used across regulated international markets while maintaining security, engineering quality and ongoing delivery to live customers.
The work
IPF serves customers in several regulated markets through one global mobile application. I lead engineering delivery for that app: setting the architecture and technology direction for its migration from .NET MAUI to React Native, and holding the line on scalability, security, maintainability and regulatory requirements while a multidisciplinary team ships to live customers.
My contribution
As principal engineer, set the architecture and migration direction from .NET MAUI to React Native, reviewed technical approaches and aligned a multidisciplinary team around priorities and risk.
Delivery detail
- Set the architecture and migration path from MAUI (.NET) to React Native for a global, regulated application.
- Review technical approaches and maintain expectations for engineering quality across a multidisciplinary delivery team.
- Create clarity for engineers and stakeholders around priorities, risk and technical decisions in a PCI-DSS environment.
- Direct work on scalability, security and maintainability so the same codebase can serve multiple international markets.
The outcome
Architecture and migration direction established, with engineering delivery continuing across multiple markets. The React Native migration is ongoing.
